Evaluating Web Sites

We live in a world of technology, therefore, we as "teacher- to- be" should take all the criterias of evaluating websites into account when deciding to
include in our lessons "online activities" or "borrow" other authors´ideas.

Evaluating Web Sites

Anyone with a computer and an Internet connection can publish on the Web. That means it's up to you to determine which sites are reliable and which aren't worth your time. We need to start asking ourselves (who? what? when? where? and why?) when evaluating a website.
Who wrote/published the information on the site?, What information and resources does the site provide?, When was the site created/last updated?,  Where does the site "live"?, Why should I use this site? . This last question is of paramount importance because evaluating the credibility, thoroughness, accuracy, currency, and presentation of a website will help to determine whether to use that site for research, planning lessons or not.
